Our family of programs includes : an Approved Private Special Education School, Early Intervention Program, Early Childhood Program, Private Therapies, Regional Consultation Program, and Toddler Playgroups.
The Job
The Anderson School, our oldest program, located in Andover, MA is looking for a part-time, dedicated and caring Speech / Language Pathologist . The school’s program supports students ages 3-12 with multiple disabilities, moderate to severe developmental delays, and complex medical needs. The school is open Monday-Friday from 8 : 00 am – 3 : 00 pm and follows a school calendar, including holidays and closing periods, with a summer session. This position is 17.5 hours per week, with the potential to increase as we grow.
The position is responsible for providing high quality speech, language, and communication services on a one-to-one and / or small group basis for students with communication disorders. The Speech / Language Pathologist will work closely with classroom teachers, parents / guardians, other therapists, nurses, and teaching assistants.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts SLP license; ASHA certified
- Master's Degree in Communication Disorders or in Speech / Language
- Experience working with students ages 3-12 in a Special Education setting
- Suitable background and fingerprint checks
- Must be able to sit, bend, kneel, and lift 25 pounds
