This support allows our Primary Care Physicians to see fewer patients and spend more time with those they do.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Patient CareEvaluates and treats center patients in accordance with standards of careFollows level of medical care and quality for patients and monitors care using available data and chart reviewsAssists in the coordination of patient services, including but not limited to specialty referrals, hospital and SNF coordination, durable medical equipment and home health careActs as an active participant and key source of medical expertise with the care team through daily huddlesHelps Regional Medical Director and Center Administrator in setting a tone of cooperation in practice by displaying a professional and approachable demeanorCompletes all medical record documentation in a timely manner working with a quality-based coder to optimize coding specificityFollows policy and protocol defined by Clinical LeadershipMeets with RMD about quality of care, review of outcome data, policy, procedure and records issuesParticipates in potential growth opportunities for new or existing services within the CenterParticipates in the local primary care on-call program of Partners in Primary Care as neededAssures personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodiesSpend 100% of your time clinically focused on direct patient care, inclusive of patient facing time and general administrative time (charting, meetings, etc.) as it relates to direct patient careEDUCATION / CREDENTIALS / REQUIREMENTS : Current unrestricted medical license in the state of NevadaGraduate of an accredited MD or DO programBoard Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine with continued certification throughout employmentThis role is considered patient facing and is a part of Partners in Primary's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.Bilingual English / Spanish
- Must be able to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance.
Language Proficiency Testing : Any Partners in Primary Care associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency.
Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
