*New to the DSP world? No sweat! We provide on the job training!*
Wage: $16.00/hour
$15.00/hour for any asleep overnight shifts at sites where staff are permitted to sleep (some sites permit staff to sleep and get paid overnight between certain hours! i.e. 10pm-6pm or 11pm-7am). Overnight shifts where staff is awake will earn$16.00/hour.
Schedule: NO DAY SHIFT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME – VARIETY of shifts available; evenings, overnights, and some weekends will be required.
You'll be working in a casual home setting that is staffed 24/7, so a variety of shifts are needed. We can discuss your availability in more detail.
Qualifications: Valid Driver's License. MUST HAVE a satisfactory three (3) year driving history to be on Agency Auto Insurance. Previous experience working with Individuals with disabilities Preferred but not required. Satisfactory background check and clearances, and driving record will be check upon hiring.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists Program Participants to attain daily living skills that allow them to become more independent and self-sufficient.
- Maintains the physical site in a safe, secure and clean condition.
- Completes all shift requirements prior to leaving duty.
- Establishes and maintains strong and positive community contacts that are in the best interest of both the program individuals and the agency. Employs effective work practices, utilizing time allocated to the program in the most judicious manner.
- Submits all written documentation required for the program on or before the due date and without prompting.
- Maintains accurate records, goals, documentation, ledgers, receipts and other materials relevant to Program Participants’ progress, health, activities and financial records.
- Acts as an advocate for Program Participants; promotes and provides community involvement opportunities for Program Participants when they express interest as identified and authorized in the Program Participants’ ISPs.
- Assists in the development of Individual Support Plans (ISPs), Assessments and Quarterly Reviews in cooperation with the Program Participant being served, Lead Staff, Supports Coordinators and Residential Program Specialists.
- Reports medical issues immediately. After proper training, administers first aid as necessary. After proper training, administers medications in accordance with Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations for medication administration.
- Safely transports Program Participants or supervises Program Participants during daily transportation when directed to meet program needs.
