Our client is hiring an Optometrist 5 days a week!

• Perform standard eye exams for patients on a daily basis
• Check for evidence of disease, injury, or other problems impacting vision
• Provide prescriptions for corrective lenses as needed
• Listen to and address patient’s questions and concerns
• Educate patients regarding the eyecare and vision correction options
• Analyze results from all tests conducted and share results with patients
• Utilize all necessary equipment properly, ensuring it is in good working order
• Coordinate with the rest of the staff as needed to meet patient’s needs
• Check prescription and fit of corrective lenses
• Record all tests, prescriptions, and treatments in patient chart
• Refer patients to trusted specialists as needed
  
  

Optometrist Requirements And Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) required from an accredited educational institution
• Current state optometry license, valid and in good standing
• Solid working knowledge of all ophthalmic equipment needed to conduct examinations
• Experience prescribing and fitting corrective lenses
• Current medical knowledge of testing and treatments for eye injuries and diseases
• Continued commitment to remaining up to date on the latest research and techniques
• History of excellent patient care
• Positive attitude and team-oriented approach to patient care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to patient care
• Compassionate and professional chair-side manner
• Able to thrive in a past-paced, growing practice while maintaining quality of care
• Able to maintain a clean and safe work space
