Job Description
Seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production equipment and facilities. Essential responsibilities will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair a variety of machinery and mechanical equipment used in food production. This position requires a proactive and safety-conscious professional who can respond quickly to equipment malfunctions and help maintain a safe, productive workplace.
Hours
1st Shift Monday-Friday (Overtime 1 Weekend Day)
35.00 - $37.00
Job Duties
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, and packaging machinery.
- Troubleshoot and adjust systems to meet operational specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring devices.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and ensure it meets operational standards.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner to minimize production interruptions.
- Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts inventory.
- Work closely with production staff to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption.
- Adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
