Job Title: Material Handler
Pay Rate: Starting pay $19.50 per hour, with shift differential
Schedule: Mon- Fri (1st & 2nd shifts available)
1st shift – 6am- 4:30pm
2nd shift – 4pm- 2:30am
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or worksite.
- Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
- Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Convey materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric wheelbarrows, or other devices.
- Secure lifting attachments to materials and convey load to destination using hand-operated crane or hoist.
- Clean work areas, machines, and equipment using brooms, rags, and cleaning compounds.
- Assist machine operators and make simple adjustments or repairs such as realigning belts or replacing rollers.
- Create crates to contain products such as machines or vehicles using hand tools and pre-cut lumber.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends. - Ability to work in any weather conditions.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Physical ability to climb in and out of equipment and sit for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform all job functions safely and with a good attitude.
- Steel toed shoes required.
