Logistics Analyst

Position : Logistics Analyst needed in Franklin Park, IL

This is a long-term contract role (approximately 7 - 8 months)

Payrate : $35 - $40 / hr.

Job Overview :

Partners Professional is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international and domestic logistics operations, with expertise in 3PL management, data analysis and order fulfillment management and optimization. Focus on continuous improvement through data and analytical approaches. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods both domestically and internationally, while collaborating with various cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Warehousing, and other departments.

Responsibilities :

KPI & Metrics Management :

Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs and performance metrics for logistics operations. Provide regular updates on key areas such as on-time delivery, cost efficiency, order accuracy, and inventory levels. Use data insights to drive continuous improvements and operational efficiency.

Data Mining & Reporting :

Analyze large datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the logistics process. Produce actionable insights and reports that guide decision-making for senior management and cross-functional teams.

Shipment Planning & Optimization :

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize shipment planning. Ensure timely, cost-effective, and reliable transportation of goods. Continuously refine planning processes to maximize capacity utilization and reduce transportation costs.

Order Fulfillment :

Oversee the order fulfillment process, ensuring orders are processed and shipped accurately and on time. Identify bottlenecks in the fulfillment cycle and propose actionable solutions to improve efficiency.

Invoice Validation & Reconciliation :

Validate and reconcile shipping invoices, ensuring accuracy and consistency with contracts, rates, and agreements. Work closely with finance and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Work closely with the Customer Success team and 3PL service providers to ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any issues related to order status, delivery delays, or logistics inquiries. Partner with the Warehousing team to improve inventory management and fulfill orders efficiently.

International & Domestic Shipments :

Maintain expertise in both U.S. domestic and international logistics. Understand regulations, customs compliance, and documentation requirements for international shipments. Work with vendors and shipping partners to ensure smooth cross-border movement of goods.

Process Improvement :

Identify areas for process improvement within logistics and order fulfillment, leveraging technology and data analysis. Initiate and manage strategic projects to Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery

TMS / ERP :

Ensure system data is consistently accurate and up to date to facilitate seamless operations.

Additional tasks and assignments as directed by management team.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in both international and domestics logistics, Order Fulfillment role, with minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in drafting and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to analyze performance metrics and trends related implement improvement strategies.
• Proficiency in using shipping software and systems, such as FX Ship Manager, TMS, WMS and ERP(NetSuite or similar) systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, problem solving and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Excel in dynamic, manual and fast-paced environments.
