Qualifications :
- Track record of exemplary instruction and classroom management skills, including meeting high standards for student achievement.
- Proven ability to proactively and effectively coach and manage teachers and drive excellent student achievement through others.
- Superior organizational skills, ability to coach others to improve their organizational skills and efficiency, and ability to zoom out to create and manage systems and projects that require long range planning and organization.
- Strong self awareness and awareness of others. Ability to balance warm / demanding when leading adults.
- Growth mindset for self and others; willingness to seek feedback and ability to implement constructive feedback quickly and effectively
- Expertise in research-based and culturally responsive mathematics and science teaching, Minnesota state mathematics and science standards, curriculum development and mapping, student learning, test analysis, mentoring, and professional development, as demonstrated through significantly increasing student achievement.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of effective instruction sufficient to analyze, describe, model and assess each element of the teaching process
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work individually and as a team member in fulfilling the job and in meeting the goals of the program
- Successful adult leadership experience
- Ability to develop parent education opportunities in order to deepen home / school connections in mathematics and science
- Currently licensed teacher in State of Minnesota (Required)
- Masters in Education (Preferred)
- Experience lead teaching between grades K-12 with a record of high student achievement (3 years)
- Experience coaching and leading adults to obtain high student achievement (1 years)
- Knowledge of Bridges Mathematics, CPM Math, Amplify Science, Responsive Classroom, and Courageous Conversations about Race protocols (all preferred)
- Spanish speaker (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities :
Partnership Academy is a public charter school located in Richfield, in its new building with recently completed renovation. The school provides exceptional learning opportunities for students in preschool to 8th grade who live in Richfield and the neighboring communities of Bloomington and south Minneapolis.
