Overview
The Member Engagement Specialist serves as a liaison between the organization and thecommunities that we serve. This role includes project management/coordination and support ofvarious programs and committees including but not limited to: outbound call projects, ConsumerAdvisory Committee activities, informative presentations, and community events. Additionally,the Member Engagement Specialist supports department leadership in developing,implementing, and sustaining the Member Engagement Program strategies and objective toachieve Partnership’s mission and goals.
Responsibilities
▪ Effectively communicates (written/verbal) information to individuals from diversebackgrounds.▪ Contributes and promotes member and community engagement strategies to reachPartnership’s demographic needs.▪ Coordinates and facilitates community events, committee meetings, informative sessions,and organizational touchpoints.▪ Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of member engagementprograms within the department.▪ Develops and maintains detailed member engagement and committee documentation.▪ Recommends process improvement efforts to help build and sustain the MemberEngagement program.▪ Builds and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders onmember engagement activities and initiatives.▪ Contributes to the evaluation of existing Member Engagement efforts, programs, andintended outcomes.▪ Attends off-site meetings, presentations, and events as assigned.▪ Identifies and recommends collaborative opportunities with community-basedorganizations.▪ Provides education on Partnership and plan benefits and connects members to communityresources and partners.▪ Acts as a member advocate, providing the highest level of customer service.▪ Participates in departmental and organization meetings, contributing to MemberEngagement initiatives.▪ Provides project management/coordination support, as needed.▪ Consults with departmental leadership on member engagement reporting related areas.▪ Creates ad hoc presentations and reports upon request.▪ Performs other duties as assigned.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities▪ Participates in special projects and assignments, as needed.▪ Provides data entry and administrative support, as needed.▪ Supports and contributes to the development and implementation of new membermaterial, including print vendor relations.▪ Supports members of the Executive Team, as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a high school diploma or GED required. AssociatesDegree in related field preferred; Minimum of two years healthcareexperience, preferably in a managed care environment; or equivalentexperience and training that would provide the knowledge and acquiredskills and abilities listed above.
Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication(verbal and written) and documentation skills with the ability tocommunicate effectively with all levels within the organization. Strongattention to detail. Valid California Driver’s License and proof ofcurrent automobile insurance compliant with Partnership policy arerequired to operate a vehicle and travel for various community /engagement events. Must be able to work independently. Bilingualskills in Spanish, Tagalog, or Russian are preferred.

Excellent interpersonalskills to develop and maintain relationships with extern stakeholders.Ability to handle varying situations with tact and diplomacy.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
Ability to use a computer with standard software packages. More than50% of work time is spent in front a computer monitor(s). The abilityto travel and attend various in-person events within Partnership'sservice areas. When required, ability to lift, carry, or move objects ofvarying size, weighing up to 35 lbs.

HIRING RANGE:
$77,430.47 - $96,788.08
