Overview
Supports Partnership HealthPlan of California communications strategies through engagingwriting and precise editing that enhance Partnership’s brand and reflect its mission. The seniorcopywriter/editor is responsible for maintaining the Partnership voice and style across a varietyof written materials.
Responsibilities
- Develops content and writes compelling short and long-form copy for print anddigital platforms.
- Conducts interviews and writes human interest articles.
- Aligns all writing and editing with Partnership brand and messaging
- Writes and edits material (including press releases, brochures, articles) toeffectively communicate complicated health care topics to distinct audiences.
- Provides thoughtful reviews of digital and print material, including proofreading andline editing
- Reviews presentations for community outreach to community agencies, naturalpartners and governmental entities.
- Supports the development of flyers, brochures, social media posts, and websitecontent.
- Helps drive the implementation of Partnership’s brand.
- Supports the development of Partnership outreach campaigns including contentdevelopment, writing, and editing.
- Supports Partnership programs and initiatives by writing, editing, and refiningmaterial to inform and educate community partnerships.
- Proactively coordinates with senior manager of communications to ensureefficient implementation of communication strategies.
- Provides input regarding Partnership communications policies
- Ensures compliance with all state and CMS (Center for Medicare and MedicaidServices) outreach, marketing, and sales regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (journalism, communications,etc.); minimum five to seven years of experience writing and editing forpublications and/or corporate communications. Experience in andknowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and the health care industrypreferred.
Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications
Strong writing and editing skills required; basic layout/design skillspreferred; experience writing human interest stories; ability to distillcomplex information into engaging, informative content for variousaudiences; strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy inall work; experience adhering to a style guide, especially theAssociated Press Stylebook; ability to effectively manage multipleprojects simultaneously; working knowledge of computers, as well asbusiness- and design-related software; knowledge of principles andpractices of health care service delivery, managed care, health caresystems, and medical administration; familiarity with Medi-Cal andMedicare program preferred.
Performance Based Competencies
Ability to work under limited supervision and exercise good,independent judgment.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
Ability to provide valid California driver’s license and proof of currentautomobile insurance compliant with Partnership policy are required tooperate a vehicle and travel for company business. More than 15% ofwork time is spent in front of a computer monitor; when required, mustbe able to move, lift, or carry objects of varying size, weighing up to 35lbs.; Little travel may be required.

HIRING RANGE:
$103,059.95 - $133,977.94
