Overview
Implements Partnership HealthPlan of California (PHC) communications strategies throughimpactful member engagement, digital engagement, media relations, legislative affairs,community relations, branding, and communications with PHC stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Leads the implementation of communications, public affairs, and community relationsprograms in PHC’s Northern and Southern regions.
- Oversees the implementation of PHC’s brand.
- Oversees the development of PHC outreach campaigns including content development,design, proofreading, procurement, and printing.
- Manages the development of PHC’s digital engagement efforts including: external andinternal websites, member portal, social media, and more.
- Supports PHC programs and initiatives by developing material to inform and educatecommunity partnerships.
- Develops and maintains media plans, strategies, and relationships to increase publicawareness of PHC programs.
- Develops and maintains reports to assess and analyze effectiveness of communityrelations efforts.
- Proactively coordinates with PHC departments to ensure efficient implementation ofcommunication strategies.
- Prepares presentations for community outreach to community agencies, natural partners,and governmental entities.
- Provides company-wide direction regarding PHC Communications policies
- Ensures compliance with all state and CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services)outreach, marketing, and sales regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (communications, journalism,business, English, etc.); master’s degree preferred; two to three (2-3)years of experience that would provide the required knowledge andabilities, preferably including HMO, Medi-Cal, Medicaid, and/orMedicare experience.
Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications
Strong writing, editing, and design/layout skills; working knowledge ofcomputers, as well as business- and design-related software;understanding of design and production of marketing materials;knowledge of principles and practices of health care service delivery,managed care, health care systems, and medical administration;appropriate outreach techniques to diverse community based social andethnic groups and effective communication; existing relationships withcommunity-based and Partnership-associated organizations; familiaritywith California Medi-Cal program and/or Medicare program preferred.
Performance Based Competencies
Ability to work under limited supervision and exercise independentjudgment.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
Ability to Valid California driver’s license and proof of currentautomobile insurance compliant with PHC policy are required tooperate a vehicle and travel for company business. More than 15% ofwork time is spent in front of a computer monitor; when required, mustbe able to move, lift, or carry objects of varying size, weighing up to 35lbs.; Little travel may be required.

HIRING RANGE:
$38.00 - $42.00
