We are seeking a skilled, energetic, and forward-thinking individual to fill the position of Director of Day Services. This person is an integral member of our Leadership Team, providing hands-on support and oversight to the Minneapolis day services location. This position reports to the Senior Director of Program Services. Working schedule is Monday-Friday daytime hours, approximately 8 AM – 4 PM.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the Minneapolis day services location
- Providing strong leadership and supervision to the on-site team of Designated Coordinators and Direct Support Professionals
- Actively works to create an effective and inclusive team with an emphasis on a culture of belonging
- Participates in the hiring, training and mentoring of employees
- Defining clear goals and measures of program success, collecting and analyzing data to monitor progress, and implementing continuous quality improvement
- Ensuring that all aspects of the program are developed and executed to a high standard of excellence
- Identifying areas for innovation, improvement or standardization and developing methods to address these areas
- Participate in program budgeting, from tracking of expenses to expansion of revenues
- Marketing programs and conducting client intakes, admissions and assessments
- Serves as a liaison for communication with individuals served and their support team members
- Enforces PRI’s policies, procedures, training and best practices and facilitates ongoing development and revision of these practices as needed
- Involvement in seeking grant funding for opportunities that support the mission and vision of the agency
- Providing back up support as needed for direct care and/or Designated Coordinator functions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must meet Designated Coordinator & Designated Manager qualifications in accordance with 245D requirements:
- Experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children AND/OR post-secondary education in a field related to human services, education or health that totals a minimum of 4 years
- Minimum of three years of supervisory-level experience in a program providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children
- Candidates who do not meet these requirements as demonstrated by their resume will not be considered
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state and county rules and regulations including, but not limited to: 245D, HCBS, Olmstead, and DWRS/RMS
- Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, implement and evaluate client programming
- Must be able to pass a background study with the MN Department of Human Services
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa
- Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 25-50 pounds
- Intermediate computer and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office

Compensation:
The position is a full-time exempt position. Competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 annually dependent on qualifications. Comprehensive benefits package includes:
