What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Outreach Coordinator(10 Month Position) position at Partnership with Children?
Partnership with Children provides critical counseling, school-wide services, and family and community outreach in high-poverty, New York City public schools so students can reach their full potential. The ideal Family Outreach Coordinator is a self-starter, who is committed to empowering students and families. The Family Outreach Coordinator will be based in an NYC Public School and report to a Community School Director.
Responsibilities :
- Support school attendance improvement initiatives by providing outreach to students and families, including regular home visits
- Develop strong rapport with students to empower them to achieve attendance and academic goals, and engage families in the process
- Collaborate with school support staff, including parent coordinator, attendance teachers, and outreach workers, to develop strategies to increase student attendance
- Advise the Social Work Director on any case management needs that students and families have, and escort students and families to appointments as needed
- Participate on the school attendance team and manage attendance data
- Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating workshops and events for students and families
- Other duties as assigned

45 k - $50k annually, commensurate with experience.
