What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Operations Specialist position at Partnership With Native Americans?
Perform day-to-day tasks, such as simple data entry, imports, exports, and reports.
Maintain highly accurate and current donor data that effectively tracks key information, cultivation activities and histories, and solicitation and reporting calendars.
Ensures Director of Development Operations, Executive leadership, and fundraising team has appropriate visibility into the performance and business return from associated applications and compliance operations through analytics, database utilization, and application of best practice.
Ensures the reliability, stability, and scalability of PWNA's fundraising ecosystem technology components, including functionality and data processes.
Identify areas of improvement in our database processes, gift acceptance and donor relations and recommend and / or develop automation wherever possible.
Assist the Director to establish and maintain best practices and procedures. Document and maintain consistent procedures for data input to ensure accurate data. Create processes for training and onboarding new users to PWNA's database.
Assist in research for prospective donors (individuals, corporations, and foundations) and support other development channels with effective solicitation.
Provide oversight and build out procedures for daily use of database, gift entry and application of NFE to support integrated, donor centric fundraising activities.
Serve as liaison between Data Processing and Finance. Providing support and assist with monthly reconciling of the database to accounting records.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience with managing and training staff.
Minimum 2 years' experience with nonprofit development databases and understanding of how nonprofits can benefit from accessing their data.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel and Word knowledge.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities while remaining responsive to urgent requests.
Ability to take ownership of a project or process and to use problem solving skills to resolve issues.
Work effectively as a member of multiple project teams.
Follow a strict code of confidentiality.
Organized and detail-and-deadline oriented.
Experienced in establishing and institutionalizing donor database best practices.
A self-starter with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and be accountable.
Ability to learn new skills, techniques, and ways to accomplish projects and goals.
Knowledge of FASB and IRS policies for gift records and management.
Expressed desire to learn and familiarize oneself with the issues of Indian Country and the philanthropic landscape of Native American issues.
