What are the responsibilities and job description for the Individual Focus Direct Support Professional position at Partnerships in Community Living, Inc.?
Individual Focus Direct Support Professionals (DSP-IF) will provide specialized supports designed to meet the unique needs of someone with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in need of transitional supports. As a DSP-IF, you will model the best methods of supporting a person that may often communicate their needs by exhibiting challenging behavior while staying non-judgmental and inclusive. DSPs on the Individual Focus team are committed to building strong partnerships with families and recognize the “team” is everyone who loves and supports the person, not just those at PCL. You will help someone learn through life’s great, fun, and challenging experiences and experience life to the fullest!

- Sat - Sun 8am - 10pm (30 hours weekly, Full Time).
- Sat - Sun 8am - 10pm (29 hours weekly, Part Time).

- Must have and show basic computer skills and can learn agency applications.

- Various positions may involve distributing medications, cooking, house cleaning, yard maintenance, handling challenging behaviors, and intimate care.

- Provide a stable living environment by respecting dignity, individual choice, input, and health and safety needs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for their assigned area. On a regular rotation, this position is on-call for their assigned area for 7 consecutive days in each rotation.
- Must be able to lift and transfer 25 pounds minimum; some positions may require more.
- Appropriately and efficiently responding to emergencies and/or crises (including but not limited to the use of physical intervention).

- Complete and maintain all certifications as required by the position, PCL, and other governing agencies.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain certification to a satisfactory level in Oregon Intervention System (training provided if hired).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR (training provided if hired).
- Complete all duties related to being a Mandatory Abuse Reporter.
- New hire orientation and on-site training must be completed within 60 days of hire.
