Summary
The Director of National Accounts / Director of Sales increases revenue and profitability for the company by clearly defining, growing and maintaining an assigned customer base. The Director drives sales efforts and strategies, effectively cross selling between multiple lines of Parts ASAP business, bringing heightened value and product penetration to the customer.
This position is up to 75% travel with a bonus / commission plan

- Works with executive leadership and other business unit leaders to develop strategies and tactics designed to create opportunities and further cultivate present and future business.
- Establishes and works towards clear KPIs and OKRs. Empowers the team to make smart decisions. Encourages listening and feedback. Encourages a growth mindset. Provides coaching across sales team.
- Develops short-term and long-term sales objectives, working towards assigned annual growth targets
- Develops, manages and reviews the annual sales budget required to meet sales objectives.
- Develops and monitors sales channel strategies and overall company positioning.
- Working with internal departments, grows internal branding value among employees through improved communication.
- Drives interactive (not just "transactive") communication with ASAP communities and uses local knowledge to enable the business to contribute beyond what is typically considered core business.
- Defines, collects and analyzes data on customer value, demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to develop customer profiles to optimize understanding of the customer base.
- Works in close partnership with the operations, sales, and management team to identify business opportunities through new customer relationships and fosters current relationships. Assists sales teams in maximizing opportunities for cross-selling products outside each brand's traditional product line.
- Consistently monitors the customer journey across all sales channels to ensure customer retention and maximum customer growth
- Conducts market research for competitive intelligence including sales strategies, product mix, retail and promotional pricing, wholesale pricing, shipping charges, payment methods, credit terms & conditions, warranties / returns. Makes recommendations to business unit leadership for implementing ASAP strategies to meet or exceed competitor's programs.
- Monitors trade publications and industry news sources for relevant news.
- Develops and enhances sales automation processes.
- Participates in relevant and appropriate Trade Shows to market Parts ASAP products and services.
- Writes and distributes internal and external communication and press releases to promote key internal events (including acquisitions, key hires, promotions and new products) to increase brand awareness and complement ASAP's brand as subject matter expert.
- Coordinates and develops processes for the sales team's execution and creation of materials that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products. This includes creative development across all media types including product photos, print, direct mail, video, blogs, broadcast, social, email campaigns, email flows, digital, SEM, off-site SEO, outdoor and display advertising.
- Recruits, hires, and onboards high performing individuals that adhere to the organization's standards.
- Coordinates, trains, and monitors the performance of management and staff through training programs, frequent feedback, regular performance reviews, and exceptional communication skills.
- Investigates and resolves service / quality complaints and performance issues, including disciplinary procedures as necessary or appropriate to achieve peak staff performance.
- Ensures implementation and adherence to Human Resources policies and procedures through enforcement and accountability.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Complies with the requirements of the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System (when required).
