The Job at a Glance 

The Safety Officer (internally known as Guardian of the Galaxy) at Parts Town in partnership with our Safety Team will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Security programs, policies and procedures at our Fulfillment Center.  Your focus will be to take a proactive approach and on-site presence to address security related concerns and support the physical safety and security of all Parts Town team members. You love to build and develop long lasting relationships with all levels within organization. In this role, you will be the face of Parts Town’s security and a support to Safety as one of our core values.   

A Typical Day 

• Oversee the day-to-day physical security of Parts Town property including employee access to facilities, security alarm response, monitoring camera systems, coordination with contract security, securing truck and parking lots, etc.
• Conduct security investigations in coordination with Talent and Safety leadership
• Build relationships with Parts Town team members and identify possible threats before an incident occurs.  Address imminent threats appropriately by contacting local authorities when necessary and coordinating with Parts Town leadership.
• Suggest safety measures to reduce or eliminate safety risks and create actions plans with recommendations
• Monitor weather and news events while coordinating the appropriate security and safety response for our teams
• Manage loss prevention associated with a distribution center environment being responsible for day-to-day managing security vendors, third party contractors as it relates to our equipment/hardware.
• Responsible for the day-to-day visitor management process providing an outstanding visitor check in experience

The salary range for this role is $74,495.43-$91,049.96 annually ($35.81-$43.77 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
