Job Overview:
The SEO Manager supports the marketing and digital organization as the expert responsible to develop SEO strategy and act as a lead contributor to overall search marketing activities. They are responsible for growing traffic and revenue through through SEO/SEM activations, influencing web content that drives SEO and supporting the Sr. Paid Media Manager with overall search marketing insights.
This is a hybrid role based in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Site Metadata Updates: Ongoing keyword discovery, trends and optimization for everyday / seasonal categories and blogs content
- Performance Analysis: Execute gap analysis and competitive research to identify organic search opportunities, provide data-substantiated insights & recommendations to internal / external stakeholders to impact site optimization ahead of seasonal peaks
- Search Marketing Goals: Track, analyze and report metrics for SEO / SEM (Search Engine Marketing) initiatives and campaigns, provide recommendations for in-season / future season updates per learnings; execute tests, collect and analyze data to identify learnings that achieve maximum ROI in organic search campaigns
- Best Practices: Create SEO guides for UX/Copy team and assess UX updates planned for site
- Propose and lead new SEO enhancements for additional non-branded traffic with backlinks, refinements, local opportunities, foldered URLs and more
- Industry: Stay abreast of Google releases and updates to identify needed site optimizations, escalate data-substantiated recommendations to leadership if new / expanded tech changes required; work with IT development team to ensure SEO best practices imposed concerning code implementation or tactical/tech SEO
- Tech: Lead monitoring and recommendations to improve website health, speed and troubleshoot tech issues; perform tech audits to ensure no missing metadata, broken links, ideal URL structure
- Partner with paid media, marketing, content, web, tech & IT teams to share SEO recommendations, best practices
