JOB DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Associate ensures that all of Partyman Catering’s properties are well-maintained, safe, and in top condition. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, from routine inspections and repairs to landscaping and seasonal upkeep, while also overseeing the maintenance of the organization's fleet vehicles.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Maintenance
- Conduct routine safety checks, including fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and emergency exits.
- Replace light bulbs and maintain all lighting fixtures, including chandeliers, outdoor lighting, and emergency lights.
- Address plumbing issues, such as fixing toilets or performing minor repairs.
- Ensure the functionality and stock levels of plumbing fixtures, toiletries, and essential maintenance supplies.
- Maintain and repair kitchen equipment, including refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers.
Landscaping and Groundskeeping
- Mow, trim, and maintain gardens, pathways, and parking lots.
- Clear debris, snow, and ice from walkways, patios, and parking lots, applying salt as needed.
- Water plants, trees, and flowers to keep the grounds fresh and inviting.
- Maintain and repair outdoor furniture and décor to ensure they are in good condition.
Seasonal Maintenance
- Perform tasks such as gutter cleaning, pressure washing exterior surfaces, and winterizing outdoor equipment.
- Manage and maintain seasonal décor, including installation and removal.
Fleet Maintenance
- Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Schedule service appointments for routine maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain the general upkeep of fleet vehicles, including cleanliness and organization.
- Keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Inventory and Tools Management
- Monitor and restock essential supplies, such as light bulbs, cleaning products, and basic repair materials.
- Keep an inventory of maintenance tools and equipment, ensuring they’re in good working order.
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance services as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage pest control to ensure safety and comfort.
- Conduct regular inspections of all systems, including heating and cooling, and program thermostats as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of facility features, such as hot tubs if applicable.
OCCASIONAL OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE
- Assist various departments with special projects or tasks as needed to support overall operations and organizational goals.
- Occasional maintenance of an additional private rental property.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in property maintenance or related field.
- General knowledge of utilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and basic vehicle maintenance, is a plus.
Skills
- Proven experience in facility maintenance or related fields.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle minor repairs.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting through the shift.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and independently.
- This role requires a combination of indoor and outdoor work, with tasks requiring physical effort and mobility.
Other
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
- Schedule may fluctuate seasonally and based on event bookings.
- Weekend availability is a must.
- Peak-season (May - Nov): Full-time hours of up to 40.
- Off-season (Dec - Apr): Part-time hours of approximately 24-32hrs.
COMPENSATION
Pay
- Competitive starting compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.
- Base rate range of $21.00-$26.00
