JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sales Coordinator is a dynamic, sales-driven professional responsible for driving revenue growth through prospecting, proposal creation, and closing deals with prospective and existing clients. This position focuses on achieving and exceeding monthly sales quotas, leveraging strong sales strategies and relationship-building skills to secure business and foster client loyalty.

The Sales Coordinator must demonstrate a deep understanding of sales processes, from identifying opportunities to negotiating contracts, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across departments to deliver on client expectations.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Goals and Commission: Meet monthly sales goals and earn commission on all sales exceeding those goals. Base salary provided before commission.
- Prospecting: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with dedicated follow ups and strategies
- Proposal Development: Create detailed, customized proposals in a timely manner, adhering to company policies for sales management. Use innovative sales strategies to tailor offerings to meet client needs and close deals.
- Client Relationship Management: Manage inbound inquiries, respond to client questions, and book events. Conduct in-person meetings, Zoom calls, and phone calls to develop and maintain strong client relationships. Address client concerns, suggest enhancements, and upsell services to create memorable events.
- Event Planning Collaboration: Work with internal departments to develop custom décor, displays, and menu items that align with clients’ visions. Coordinate with relevant teams to plan and finalize event logistics, including layouts, timelines, and details.
- Site Visits and Event Preparation: Attend site visits to provide expert guidance and ensure event plans align with venue logistics. Collaborate with clients and venue contacts to suggest best-case scenarios that benefit both parties.
- Event Execution and Follow-Up: Be onsite for key events to ensure client satisfaction and maintain venue relationships. Document post-event information, including client feedback and notes for potential repeat business.
- Communication and Documentation: Organize pre-event information, update final guest counts, and relay any last-minute modifications to the appropriate departments. Finalize and print BEOs for production meetings and leadership review.
- Annual Event Participation: Assist in planning, organizing, and executing annual tasting events and internal company events.
OCCASIONAL OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE
- Assist Sales & Marketing Supervisor in daily operations and with projects.
- Assist with training new admin support staff and Sales Managers/Associates.
- Assist throughout the organization as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
Experience
- 6 years minimum experience in sales
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Sales Associate or planning events within the off-premise catering industry or at Partyman Catering.
Skills
- Ability to manage a book of business between $750,000 - $1.5 million.
- Effective communication skills including writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication to identify customer needs and communicate value.
- Ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence professionals and/or clients.
- Confidence in speaking with clients and managing events.
- Ability to create a lasting, positive first impression.
- Computer skills. Experience with client relationship management software is preferred.
Physical
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and independently.
Other
- Valid Driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to work.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
- Schedule may fluctuate seasonally and based on event bookings.
- Work from home may be applicable.
- Required to stop into events on the weekend. Weekend availability is a must.
- Peak-season (May - Nov): Full-time hours of up to 50 , with the goal of 40 hrs average. Flex time during the week for stopping into events.
- Off-season (Dec - Apr): Full-time hours of approximately 40hrs.
COMPENSATION
Pay
- Salary ranges from $50,000-$65,000, commensurate with experience. Plus metric-based sales bonuses and benefits.
- Tipping is eligible when leading/serving events or when written instruction is given by the client.
