Parvin-Clauss Sign Company, a fast growing, family-owned business based in Carol Stream, Illinois, is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its manufacturing production team. We are a custom sign manufacturer and are proud to assist our customers all over the country with their signage needs.
Responsibilities
- Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving Inspections:
- Unloading incoming shipments and verifying the quantity and condition of items against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspecting for damage, defects, or discrepancies and documenting any issues.
- Performing basic quality checks based on established standards, such as measuring dimensions or comparing receiving documents. Documenting all receiving and taking photographs.
- Reporting any quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Shipping Preparations:
- Picking and packing orders according to drawing specifications.
- Verifying product details and ensuring correct labeling.
- Inspecting outgoing shipments for damage or quality issues before final packaging. Documenting and photographing shipments.
- Assembly proper crating of outgoing shipments
- Creating and attaching necessary shipping documents like packing slips and bills of lading.
- Inventory Management:
- Delivering inventory to fabrication/manufacturing team as needed.
- Updating inventory records with received and shipped items.
- Maintaining accurate stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Performing cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Completing receiving and shipping paperwork accurately.
- Maintaining detailed logs of inspections and quality issues.
- Reporting any non-conforming products or quality concerns to the appropriate department.
- Other tasks may include:
- Quality control inspections of signage throughout the manufacturing process
- Operating material handling equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
- Coordinating with other departments like production and project management
- Maintaining a clean and organized production area
- Adhering to safety procedures and regulations
