Job Description
The Nightlife Manager (aka "the Director of Fun") will oversee the planning, coordination, operations and success of a coordinated effort between venues (360, Beer Garden, XLounge, etc.) to ensure there is a fun atmosphere at Parx that attracts patrons that will be willing to spend on entertainment, food and beverage. Will be responsible for coordinating with many departments and ensuring successful execution of events and offerings. Will include working with outside parties to design and promote the offerings.
- Manage the planning and execution of an integrated strategy to attract non-core gaming customers to come to Parx to spend money on entertainment, food and beverage.
- Work with CMO, Director of Marketing, Director of Entertainment and VP of F&B to develop strategy and monthly calendar of offerings across the venues.
- Integrate and coordinate with many operational departments (F&B, entertainment, beverage, security, EVS, facilities, etc.) to ensure successful execution of initiatives. This includes being onsite for majority of events and weekend evenings
- Meet budget goals for revenue and costs of each event as well as manage the P / L for 360
- Promote the events and venues via social media, working with Parx social media team as well as working with influencers and our third-party vendors. Also look for opportunities to drive revenue for the venues and ticket sales for the events
- Proactively monitor competitor activity and ensure we respond appropriately.
- Positively manage the implementation of change and the introduction of initiatives. Complete all required paperwork meeting required deadlines and ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
- Effectively communicate key issues and initiatives.
- Work with operational departments to ensure that all guest issues are handled appropriately and in a timely manner - implement changes needed to avoid recurring issues.
- Ensure performance standards are met consistently - respond to both positive and negative feedback and communicate specific action plans to address issues.
- Ensure our liquor license is protected and immediately report any threats that may arise. Report any concerns with the team's failure to follow policies.
- Ensure cash systems are reconciled and any issues addressed.
