We are looking for Audio/Visual (AV) Technicians to support on-campus events. Duties include set up and operation of installed and portable AV systems including audio, projection, and computers. This is a part-time position with flexible days and hours. Ninety (90) percent of shifts are scheduled with 4 weeks’ notice, ten (10) percentage of shifts are with 0 - 14 days’ notice. Shifts range from 3- to 8-hours. Events occur in large lecture spaces, conference rooms and outdoor performance areas. Please note: Due to this position being a Student Worker, you must be enrolled in 6 or more units at PCC and can only work up to 20 hours a week.Hourly Rate: $19.50 per hourShifts: Events occur during the week Mondays - Sundays between 7:00 am - 12:00 am.Basic Position Responsibilities: Setup, operation, and takedown of audio-visual equipment including portable and installed live sound systems, microphones, speakers, projectors, screens, lecterns, and laptopsSkills / Knowledge / Abilities: Reliability On time for all eventsFamiliarity of AV systemsBasic understanding of live audio systemsAbility to follow instructions to complete a taskExcellent customer service and communication skillsPC/MAC knowledgeFamiliar with Microsoft SuitePhysical Requirements: Ability to work from ladders up to 6 feet in heightAbility to lift and carry 30 poundsAbility to move equipment in a reasonable amount of timeAbility to stand for long periods of time
