Job Title: Host/Hostess
Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensuring all members and their guests have a memorable dining experience. As the first point of contact for our members, the Host/Hostess will greet, seat, and manage reservations while maintaining a welcoming, organized, and efficient front-of-house environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all members and guests warmly and promptly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations, both over the phone and through the club’s reservation system, ensuring an accurate and efficient seating process.
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and offering assistance as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front desk and dining area.
- Answer phone calls with a professional and courteous demeanor, addressing inquiries and assisting with member requests.
- Monitor the dining room to ensure all guests’ needs are met and provide assistance to servers and kitchen staff when necessary.
- Handle member inquiries and concerns with professionalism, escalating issues to the management team as appropriate.
- Coordinate with the dining team to ensure smooth flow of guests, especially during peak dining times.
- Assist with special event setups and provide guest service during private functions.
- Assist with maintaining club policies and standards related to guest service and member experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of the private club environment and fine dining service is a plus.
- Must have a positive, friendly attitude and a passion for providing excellent service.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
