- Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
- The overall responsibility of the Materials Management Supervisor is to supervise the daily operations and activities of the supply chain warehouse and/or the procedural area ordering, as well as assigned staff.
- The responsibility will include receiving and delivering goods, and ensuring the transportation of materials and supplies are delivered in a safe and timely manner.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
- Additionally, this role includes the use of analytic tools to accurately capture spending and utilization data (Lawson, Epic, Excel) in support of inventory control and management.
Job Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Three (3) years of related experience of which one (1) year must have been in a supervisory capacity
- MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Experience with the use of heavy equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, dock equipment, etc
- Ability to drive department-owned vehicles, including but not limited to a box truck
- ERP system, such as Lawson, experience preferred
- Warehouse organization and operational experience preferred
- Familiarity with inventory control practices and logistics
- Understanding of how an ERP system increments and decrements inventory and the role this plays in an efficient healthcare supply chain setting
- Knowledge of Epic decremented inventory
- Understanding of operating room products and their uses
- Training and hiring of new staff
- Knowledge of PO pricing and GL interaction
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and take action
