Job Overview
Responsible for locating key suppliers, negotiating the company’s maintenance purchasing agreements and ensuring their materials and products meet the company’s specifications. Tracking inventory and ensuring all terminals are complying with companies practices and procedures.
Duties
- KPI – Develop, report and communicate key performance indicators to parts management personnel as well as shop management personnel
- Corporate parts pricing – utilizing request for quote methods to evaluate and implement best option for parts vendor, putting price and availability at the top of requirement list
- Review all parts invoices to ensure compliance with current implemented practices on purchasing
- Responsible for reviewing inventory practices and procedures at all terminal locations to ensure compliance
- Responsible for the set up of all new maintenance facilities for parts and training on practices and procedures
- Develop, implement and maintain reporting solutions for areas within maintenance based on needs – automating manually updated reporting through power BI
- Responsible for supporting the process of finding and implementing new technologies and systems
Job Requirements/Work Area Conditions:
Education: Preferred Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or five to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 5-10 years combined maintenance, parts procurement.
