JOB SUMMARY
The ESY Lead Teacher develops building-level administrative skills by assisting the school administrative team in providing a high-quality Extended School Year program.
Responsible to: Principal/Assistant Principal
Coordinates: Extended School Year (ESY) Program
Payment rate: Current hourly rate of pay for 105 hours
Qualifications:
- Is viewed as a leader within the school
- Minimum of three years successful experience in teaching
- Effective or Highly Effective on 2 most recent annual performance evaluations
- Recommendation from current principal
- Desire to continue leadership skill development
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with teaching or leading Extended School Day/Year
- Experience with ESY instructional resources
- Holds Educational Leadership Certification
Essential Functions:
- Ensure ESY program is aligned to district guidelines.
- Support the functions of the school including student discipline and other supervisory duties as assigned by the principal.
- Assist the principal and administrative team in the overall administration of the Extended School Year program.
- Coordinates the staff development needs of the ESY program.
- Communicate and work effectively with members of the school, district and community
- Work independently and without supervision, and complete work in an efficient manner.
- React to change and frequent interruptions in a productive and positive manner, meeting deadlines as assigned.
- Ensure ESY teachers have needed materials and resources and monitor ESY program instruction.
