JOIN OUR TEAM AS A SUMMER AQUATIC COORDINATOR!
Responsible administrative position in aquatics for the development, organization, and implementation of the Summer Pool and Beach Safety Program at seven separate sites throughout Pasco County.
Selects, trains, evaluates, and supervises seasonal employees. Develops, staffs, schedules, equips, supervises, and evaluates the County's Summer Pool and Beach Safety Program. Prepares and processes reports, payroll, and all daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork; maintains records. Makes daily site visits. Administers discipline toward employees and participants according to prescribed procedures. Serves as liaison between seasonal and full-time employees. Maintains the safety of all swimmers; takes appropriate lifesaving action; administers First-Aid.

- Must have strong supervisory skills, be in good physical condition, and have mature judgment.
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. May use a handling device (dolly, cart, etc.) or work with another team member to lift and/or move excessively heavy objects. Ability to bend, stoop, and squat frequently. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Candidates must possess an Associate degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in recreation or a related field OR four (4) years of experience.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida driver's license required. Candidates must pass a lifesaving test. Must possess valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and First-Aid certification. Lifeguard Instructor Certification is preferred.
