Job Overview
This position provides support to the operation of the Pasco Processing Plant by ensuring that the plant and operating equipment are clean and sanitary. The Plant Sanitation must be able to work in a team environment but also be able to perform assigned tasks with little or no supervision.
Located in Pasco, Washington, this processing plant is a vegetable processing facility which produces Food Service, Roasted Vegetables, Mashed Potatoes, Dehydrofrozen Potatoes and Corn.
The individual works closely with the plant sanitation team and other employees to reduce downtime during line clean ups. It is important that the person(s) conduct themselves in a manner that ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of their equipment and surroundings. The individual in this position will accomplish these tasks by utilizing a team concept through working with team members and following directions and instructions from the Sanitation Lead. Overtime may be required to meet operational goals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures that the plant sanitation schedule is followed and that all equipment in the work area is in top working condition and that equipment and work area are cleaned on a regular basis, including at start up and major clean ups.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate with co-workers, coordinate and complete work responsibilities in a timely manner, and uses good judgment in decision-making.
- Ensures no injury to self or others by following safe work practices and policies
- Other duties, as assigned by the Maintenance Lead/Supervisor.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: From $21.90 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
