Job Summary
The Operations Supervisor will administer and control the operations functions within the Itom Ili Tosapo Am Remtituane - Early Childhood Learning Center. Oversee and coordinate the logistical activities that support educational programs, school health, safety, and business
operations for the Itom Ili Tosapo Am Remtituane Early Childhood Learning Center -including but not limited to budgeting, accounting, staff supervision, strategic planning, inventory control, internal procedures, forecasting, reconciling, accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract and grant accounting, staff evaluations, mentoring, professional learning facilitator, and coordinating and implementing safety protocols.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor the department's budget, which may include capital improvement programs, allocating resources, and approving expenditures
- Provide guidance and support to the supervisory staff in the accounting, budget, and administrative support units
- Approve budget revisions and review various accounting reports
- Supervise staff, including prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring staff is trained and employees follow pedagogical best practices, Tribal and Center-based policies and procedures, maintaining a happy, healthy and safe work environment, and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations
- Develop, interpret, implement, and evaluate strategic program objectives, policies, and procedures ensuring that highest level of cultural and language revitalization and sustainability in any environment that is happy, healthy and safe
- Prepare and / or review complex reports, contracts, grant proposals, and studies; make recommendations on various administrative or management policies
- Review departmental operations to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of services and / or programs
- Coordinate activities with other agencies, internal departments, and / or applicable parties.
- Develop personnel and department records policy and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all tribal, departmental, and regulatory requirements. Lead for all internal / external financial audits
- Develop procedures for the rental and billing facilities to external agencies or individuals, adhering to applicable policies, laws, and regulations
- Ensure timely purchases to meet the Center's needs, which include, but are not limited to, food service programs, office supplies, program supplies, etc.
- Conduct periodic inspections of buildings to identify and correct deficiencies.
- Conduct safety drills
- Oversee the Facility's maintenance and grounds operations, including preparing work schedules, assigning responsibilities, and establishing and maintaining a project calendar.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and codes; arrange for safety training
- Promoting healthy, safe, good-hearted, culturally, and linguistically sustaining, and inclusive work relationships and positive team collaboration
- Oversee construction phases and budget.
- Other duties of a similar nature or level as requested by the Program Manager, Deputy Director, or Associate Assistant Director

Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration or related field, and Three (3) years of progressive responsibility in educational leadership, budgeting, or accounting experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position

Do you have a current CPR and First Aid Certification, are currently attending a First Aid and CPR course, or are able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within three (3) months of hire?
Do you have a current TB Clearance, or are you able to obtain one within ninety (90) days of hire?
This position will require the incumbent to work non-traditional hours, nights, and weekends, are you willing to work non-traditional hours?
