Summary of Job Description
- The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all F&B operations throughout the hotel including multiple restaurants, bar, coffee bar, and group meeting/banquet functions held in the Hotel.
- Plan and direct the daily food and beverage operation to meet the needs of the guests and the financial goals of the hotel.
- Works with the hotel management team to develop an operational strategy that is aligned with the brand’s business strategy and leads its execution.
- Champion a “4 Keys to Creating Guests for Life” approach to service.
- Continuously evaluate the performance and develop a continuous improvement program for all food and beverage associates.
- Support the ongoing use and awareness of the Pocket Guides of Excellence within each department.
- Partner with F&B leadership (including culinary and events) in the creation of attractive menus designed to attract a predetermined customer market.
- Implement and manage effective control of food, beverage, administrative, booking, and labor costs.
- Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
- Ensure all F&B outlets and operations meet or exceed required Health Department Standards, Safety & Sanitation Practices.
- Ensure that all outlets and F&B operations meet or exceed agreed-upon Guest Service Standards.
- Effectively manage and support the overall operation of the food and beverage outlets. Responsibilities encompass hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching staff members, while ensuring financial success and maintaining high standards in line with hotel service policies.
- Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
Work Hours
- Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
- Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.
The salary for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience.
