Food Service Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality food service in various school settings. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring that all students receive an exceptional breakfast and lunch.

Duties

• Puts away food deliveries; washes, cuts, and preps produce; preps other food for cooking.
• Prepares salads, desserts, sandwiches, and beverages.
• May assist in the preparation of main dishes for cooking or in baking pastries and bread.
• Sets up for serving and serves a wide variety of meals and snacks to students, staff, and outside organizations.
• Set up breakfast, lunch, and salad bar at the school site. Collects monies and or checks off meals at service.
• Makes changes for the sale of said lunches and snacks.
• May pack lunches for deliveries, and serve lunches at selected sites in the district.
• Clean work areas (counters, sinks, floors), wash all kitchenware, serving trays, and utensils, and store them in proper places.
• May supervise student workers.
• Use a Point of Sale system (POS) for checking out students at the lunch lines.
• May help assist at the main kitchen on the food line.
• Knowledgeable about Child Nutrition Programs and state requirements
• Knowledgeable about food safety and sanitation standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of food production records and temperature logs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.76 - $23.13 per hour

Expected hours: 4.5 – 6 per week
