Position : Asset Control Manager
Company : A manufacturer of automotive related safety components, supplying major automotive manufacturers in North America
Work Location : Mesa, AZ

Salary Range : $90,000-$110,000 (DOE)
Summary
This position is responsible for managing the sourcing, procurement, and supply chain activities related to specific commodities or categories of goods. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality materials or products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Purchase and schedules materials, equipment and supplies for all departments within the Company.
- Calculate necessary inventory quantities by identifying and analyzing the purchase histories, lead time as well as required equipment to maintain appropriate inventory.
- Utilize the ERP system to initiate and perform inventory control, initiate purchase orders, prepare purchasing reports, and record purchasing transactions.
- Schedule orders in a timely manner that will meet production and maintenance requirements to ensure continuity of operations at the lowest cost.
- Responsible for managing and purchasing equipment repair parts by assessing and evaluating if the prices are appropriate and competitive.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to determine the available inventory.
- Responsible for Inventory accuracy, Inventory count process and for driving periodical inventory reconciliation activities.
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost criteria.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Research and understand the potential Suppliers, Products and / or Services to be purchased.
- Manage commodity risks, including price volatility and supply disruption.
- Conduct market analyses that contribute to an optimal selection of strategic suppliers.
- Complete supplier and cost / benefit analysis to select the best supplier and optimum supply chain.
- Provide data in multiple formats (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.) to management team as required.
- Monitor market conditions and trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Recommend improvements based on supply chain analysis.
- Apply data accuracy methodology and tools available to sustain accuracy in every field and process used.
- Gather information and apply analytics to support key decisions regarding procurement strategies and contract negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in the procurement process.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand and meet their material requirements.
- Interact and work closely with operations to understand priorities, schedules and plans.
- Ensure that each department operates in accordance with the company's procedure and regulations.
- Comply with purchasing policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the best prices and the most optimum delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment while enhancing supplier efficiency.
- Ensure that project-approved budgets are adhered to.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the procurement of specific commodities.
- Align strategies with organizational goals, considering cost, quality, and supplier capabilities.
