Business Development Specialist

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for import sales & marketing, including key account management, new businesses development, cold calling, technical issues, forecasting and planning mainly for (but not limited to ) the flexible packaging and plastics film converting industries in Americas. Understanding market trend and customer needs, proposing new business ideas to generate new revenue and financial growth. Contribute to the growth and profitability of the business. Frequent contacts with customers are required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

■ Strong understanding our products or services as well as our position and competition to keep business competitive

■ Contact existing customers to maintain and deepen business relationship

■ Conduct market research and identify potential customers

■ Develop a business relationship with potential customers

■ Explore new business opportunities through various methods by utilizing company’s global network.

■ Grasping macro market, including supply/demand trends, pricing, global competition as well as customer requirements from micro viewpoint.

■ Make presentations to prospective customers, vendors.

■ Establish a new product development strategy, including product innovation, entering new markets and reacting to changing market trends, such as, recycling/sustainability demands.

■ Report significant events and data information to management as required.

ADMINISTRATIVE:

■ Work closely with Customer Service/Sales Assistant and Accounting team during monthly closing to process invoices and payments.

■ Make reports and documentation for internal members.

■ Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Monthly review of sales budget and forecast with management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Native level English is a must
• Sales or marketing experience in plastics film for flexible packaging industry would be a plus.
• Some technical knowledge in plastics, polymer, or chemical field would be a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills both oral and written.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)

· Ability to move quickly and manage requests and deadlines for customer needs.

• Ability to recognize/safeguard confidential information.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and trade terms (INCOTERMS) would be a plus.
