Hours : 8 : 30-5 : 30
Travel : 50-70%
Min of 2-3 years of experience as Dynamometer Technician / Engineer is required (Installation, Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting)
Has to be able to travel 50%
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Job Summary :
This position is responsible for performing and / or assisting with preventive maintenance and repair of dynamometers and their peripheral equipment at the customer’s location to ensure smooth and accurate performance of the system and to minimize system downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Will assist with planning, organizing, scheduling and supervision of all aspects of the installation process, while ensuring the required accuracy and compliance with customer’s specifications.
Perform and / or assist with preventive maintenance and repair service as assigned, according to the service schedule.
Work at customer site with assistant service manager and / or service engineers and technicians when necessary; perform procedures as assigned.
Follow maintenance and repair procedures precisely.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with service engineers and / or service manager; providing feedback regarding service issues in the field and assist in the resolution of problems.
Attend interoffice meetings as well as meetings held at customer’s site as required or necessary.
Maintain a professional and courteous manner with customers on site.
Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the on-site work area when work is finished.
Maintain tools and equipment in a serviceable state, following tool room procedures for checkout and returning all items used during service trips upon return.
Ensure personal appearance and attire is appropriate for presenting the customer with a favorable and professional impression.
May perform general administrative tasks such as writing reports, completing forms and typing and entering information into MS Office software programs.
Other projects and tasks assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Able and willing to travel regularly (50%).
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Ability to use MS Word and Excel or equivalent word processing and spreadsheet software.
General knowledge of dynamometers and their peripheral equipment.
Ability to effectively manage one’s own time.
Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience :
Associate’s degree in engineering is preferred, esp. in mechanical or electrical engineering.
