Global metals commodity trading company in NYC midtown office seeks Jr. level Account Executive to analyze to analyze market trends and use this analysis to conduct market making and develop, generate and maintain LME hedging/trading business with customers in the North/South America region, including conducting independent market research in order to provide targeted information to clients, providing clients with updates, analysis and advice concerning the metals trading market, options trading strategies, and trading options and products available through the company. This also includes marketing its business model/platform and products and services, opening client accounts, servicing client accounts, enhancing existing client/broker relations, and representing the firm at various industry related events/conferences.
The role involves both domestic and international travel, giving written and oral presentations to clients individually and/or via seminar style, and requires good communication with global the company group companies as well as Mitsubishi Corporation group companies.
As a member of the execution department, the position, in their role to contribute to fighting Money Laundering or Terrorist financing, will report to the Compliance Department any transactions or Client requests that are of a suspicious nature, or appear on their face not to make financial sense.

JOB FUNCTIONS/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Providing advice and selling solutions from across range of product and services to new and existing clients while taking into consideration changes within the metals market, as well as upselling additional solutions from the business, including detailed market analysis and commentary.
- Managing relationships with metals clients (including multi-national, medium-sized, and family owned), selling and executing a range of derivative hedging products (futures, options, OTC) to clients in the metals space.
- Marketing its business model/platform to new and existing clients by updating, advising, and presenting clients with research regarding market trends, market information, and investment opportunities (Marketing responsibilities also include identifying new customers and business opportunities to drive profitable growth and researching information regarding prospective clients using various means including industry databases, internet search engines, and market publications and journals, etc.).
- Providing regular fundamental and technical analysis of the metals market as well as full customer service in order to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
- Market-making through proprietary trading and by analyzing and interpreting LME select and Bloomberg market information to determine trading options for the company and its clients while simultaneously communicating with the TML front desk.
- Drafting Credit Support Papers for existing and potential clients, including researching and providing detailed analysis and information concerning clients, such as client’s income earned, growth opportunities, and financial background
- Preparing morning market reports and updating clients of overnight trading activity and market trends.
- Attending industry events and visiting prospective clients’ plants on behalf of the company to market its products and services and solicit new business.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENT
- Two or three years of experience working on a metals trading desk.
- TOOLS/SOFTWARE: Windows, Excel, Outlook, Electronic trading systems Windows, Excel, Outlook, electronic trading systems/platforms, Reuters and Bloomberg.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENCE: FINRA Series 3
