Grow the company's business.
Achieve revenue / operating profit targets by securing business and selling additional services to assigned customers.
Sales Focus Area
- Mainly MWR (Mid West Region) and whole Americas area
- Molex, GE Healthcare, Parker, and ETC
- Responsible for securing and managing customer business from top level
- Knowledge of our core services: Air, Ocean, Warehousing/Distribution, Domestic Delivery
- Expand business leveraging company assets in all global regions – Japan, Asia, Europe, Americas
- Develop strong C-Level relationships with target customers
- As a management role, provide expertise on doing business in the USA
- Set strategies based on direction from Japan HQ and US Regional HQ
- Set clear account action plans and follow through to completion
- Provide coaching and training to sales staff by sharing expertise and best practices
- Achieve assigned numerical targets – Revenue, Volume, Segment Targets
- Achieve new & existing customer business
- Execute top-level sales activities by utilizing strong customer relationships
- Acquire prospective customers through introductions from current clients
- Understand future plans and visions of Intel, and deepen customer engagement via strategic alignment
- Evaluate company policy with short, medium, and long-term perspective
- Develop team to achieve numerical goals
- Collaborate with each global region (including Japan) and account support teams
- Conduct performance analysis, set improvement targets, implement improvement activities, and lead review sessions
- Act as GKAM (Global Key Account Manager) or RAM (Regional Account Manager) for certain accounts
- Demonstrate problem-solving and negotiation skills in customer-specific situations
- Provide responsive support for projects
- Maintain personal contact with large key customers
- Research customer needs and develop effective applications of products and services
- Determine market strategies & goals for each product/service of NEU within the Vertical
- Research and develop lists of potential customers
- Analyze customer supply chains to propose effective solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends and technical developments
- Establish and maintain industry contacts to generate sales
- Collaborate with NEU sales and branch operations staff to facilitate communication and ensure sales opportunities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, business administration, economics
- 3 years of business experience with a strong sales/marketing background, preferably in freight forwarding/logistics
- Must have 10 existing relationships in the assigned vertical
- Significant experience in sales staff development and training
- Several years’ experience in general management (planning, accounting, administration, economics)
- Valid driver’s license & willingness to travel extensively in the region
- Strong communication skills – capable of senior-level meetings & executive presentations
- High self-motivation and strategic focus – identify decision makers and opportunities
- Strong closing ability – distinguish short & long-term global opportunities
- High-level negotiating skills – manage global contracts and processes
- Effective coaching and mentoring of regional/local sales teams
- Proficient with CRM tools and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Meet established Annual Revenue / Operating Profit Targets
- Report new business monthly
- Provide weekly updates to management
- Organize monthly meetings with overseas account managers to align global strategies
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
- Strong teamwork orientation
- Effective communication: listening, public speaking, giving/receiving feedback
- Ability to build and manage multicultural relationships
- Patience to navigate within a complex global organization
