Job Description
- Actively interact and develop multiple relationships with customers’ purchasing/ engineering etc. to maintain existing business and seek new business opportunities.
- Promote company products and services to existing customers and develop opportunities with new customers.
- Increase sales volume by successfully quoting customer requirements and improve margins by re-quoting existing customer parts.
- Review incoming blueprints/ customer requests to estimate the most cost-effective method of sourcing/manufacturing. Prepare quotations and submit to customers in an expedient and professional manner.
- Effectively follow up on submitted quotes and ongoing projects to ensure Yahata is awarded the business.
- Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
- Communicate and collaborate with various internal departments and suppliers (domestic and overseas).
- Provide quality service to all customers.
- Monitor backorders and shipping schedule to make sure all orders meet customer’s due dates. Contact customer if any adjustments are needed.
- Assist in processing order entries, cancellations, adjustments, changes, requests. Process fees, invoices, and other related paperwork.
- Take initiative to research and find new business opportunities.
- Conduct customer meetings via in-person and teleconferencing.
- Be the front line for market condition changes and share with management.
- Maintain accurate records and submit reports to management.
- Fulfill any additional tasks requested by management.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with different types of customers and building strong client relationships.
- Good people skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with little or no supervision.
- An excellent attendance record is required.
- Excellent math, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Good follow up skills and persistence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1 years of B2B sales experience.
- Experience in finding and developing business with new customers.
- Sourcing and/or manufacturing experience with automotive/agriculture/construction machinery is a plus.
- Japanese bilinguals preferred, but not necessary.
- Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM
Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
