About the Position
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the status of occupational health and safety and developing strategies to enhance overall workplace safety.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the adoption and implementation of occupational health/safety laws, regulations, and company standards at our manufacturing site.
- Maintain working knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and establish and/or revise procedure manuals and standards to reflect changes and organizational needs.
- Work with engineering to enhance systems/processes for coordinating, tracking, and auditing work permits, MSDS management, emergency response plan (ERT), PPE management, and other tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety Management, Occupational Safety Engineering, or related field.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
