Director of Clinical Services

The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the overall direction of hospice clinical services, establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.

Experience Requirement(s)

• Minimum of 3 years experience as Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 1 of the 3 years experience providing patient care in hospice, home health, or the field of oncology.
• Licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and oversees all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical organization personnel.
• Provides guidance and counseling to staff to assist them in continually improving all aspects of hospice care services, provided through organization personnel.
• Assists the VP of Hospice Operations/Administration in the preparation and administration of the organization's budget.
• Evaluates performance of staff or other direct reports.
• Assists with the hiring, evaluation, and termination organization personnel.
• Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Develops, implements and evaluates the orientation program for new organization personnel. Responsible for orientation of new organization personnel, directly or delegated.
• Plans and implements in-services and continuing education programs to meet education and training needs of organization personnel.
• Works under the direction of the VP of Hospice Operations to promote the company mission with the staff, the patients we serve, and within the community.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
