Associate Director, Northern NJ PP Workforce Training Initiative

We are seeking an Associate Director for the Northern New Jersey Post Pandemic Workforce Training Initiative (NNJPPWTI). This person will be responsible for the technical aspects of this grant-funded workforce training initiative to train local residents to set them on a career pathway in the region's fast-growing renewable energy/solar sector.

This is a temporary full-time, administrative, grant-funded position.

Example of Duties:

• Manage day-to-day, on-site instructional and lab activities.
• Prove instructional and technical support to the staff, instructors, and students who utilize the training laboratory.
• Teach courses in the program.
• Work with industry partners to validate curriculum content.
• Research and analyze industry-valued certifications to expand opportunities for students.
• Engage with industry partners and associations to develop work-based learning experiences and employment opportunities for students.
• Ensure that all equipment in the laboratory is maintained and in working order.
• Identify and purchase supplies and maintain inventory.
• Collaborate with project staff to prepare required reports.
• Monitor activities to ensure program activities comply with all funder regulations and requirements.
• Attend and participate in activities convened by the funder.
• Participate in all aspects of program evaluation, including the development of best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 (two) years' experience in developing and coordinating educational, training, or workforce development programs.
• Previous experience in the renewable energy/solar sector preferred.
• Previous experience working on a grant-funded project a plus.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as program requires.
