What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Specialist, Reconnect Program (PT) position at Passaic County Community College?
We are seeking a part-time Outreach Specialist for Passaic County Community College's Reconnect Program. This person will report to the Project Director of PCCC's grant-funded Reconnect program and will be responsible for contacting and engaging currently enrolled PCCC students who are studying part-time and meet specified "at-risk" criteria for stopping out. This outreach will provide the opportunity to these part-time at-risk PCCC students to participate in the Reconnect program and persist in their efforts to complete their degree or credential at PCCC.

Example of Duties:
- Conduct outreach to part-time students who meet specified at-risk criteria for stopping out via text, email, phone call, and on-campus event tabling.
- Communicate program information, key dates, deadlines, and events to prospective Reconnect students.
- Coordinate stop-out campaigns and events in partnership with Signal Vine.
- Assist with data collection for annual reports and program evaluation.
- Develop fact sheets and other promotional materials to introduce Reconnect students to PCCC grant-affiliated and other appropriate on-campus and off-campus support services.
- Assist in maintaining the website and social media platforms.
- Serve on the Project Management Team and the PCCC-TSSS Program Advisory Council.
- Participate in project evaluation and institutionalization of activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Marketing, or related field.
- Three (3) years of work experience in an academic setting working with underserved students preferred.
- Experience with college enrollment, retention, degree attainment, and financial aid areas preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
- Working knowledge of Excel.
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to learn other software and technology platforms used by the Reconnect program.
- Knowledge of or ability and commitment to learn how to read, interpret, and explain degree audits.
- Knowledge of or ability and commitment to learn the Signal Vine platform.
- Proven ability to work both independently and in diverse teams.
- Experience working on grant-funded projects a plus.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as successful outreach efforts may require.
