What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prosper Grant Phase I Nursing Initiative Coord (PT) position at Passaic County Community College?
We are seeking a coordinator to run the PROSPER Grant Nursing initiative. This project will provide support to Phase 1 Nursing students at risk of not being admitted to Phase 2. This grant-funded Phase 1 Nursing Initiative Advisor will coordinate the initiative with the Nursing Department, Pathway Coordinators and other college staff.
This position reports to the PROSPER Grant Program Director. This is a part-time position.
Examples of Duties
- Develop and implement a monthly plan of activities and information for Phase 1 Nursing students
- Assess readiness for Nursing program; meet with students individually and in groups
- Facilitate workshops to help students understand the field of Nursing and the application process;
- Participate in program evaluation, and track student outcomes;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in academic advisement and/or career development, with an emphasis on support for at risk students required.
- Requires outstanding interpersonal, team-building and administrative skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
