We are seeking a Student Development/Summer Program Assistant for our Student Support Services–STEM Program. The Student Development/Summer Program Assistant supports the daily operations of the Summer Program. The Student Development/Summer Program Assistant will assist with student engagement, provide administrative support, and ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for helping others, and an ability to manage various administrative tasks related to the center's operations.
This is a grant funded, part–time, hourly position.
Example of Duties:
- Assist with the development, organization, and implementation of the summer program.
- Attend Program trainings, meetings, and events.
- Ensure that students are actively engaged and following the schedule.
- Support staff with the preparation and coordination of program events and services.
- Respond to student inquiries, either in–person, by phone, virtual, or via email, in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with tutoring, mentoring, or student success programs.
- Must be very organized, detail oriented, and maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
