What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Management Co-Op / Intern position at Passero Associates?
Passero Associates has an exciting opportunity to join our Rochester, NY Team as a Construction Management intern working under the supervision of experienced Construction and technical team members. with a diverse range of Construction and Architectural projects including Institutional, Commercial, Municipal, and multi-family Residential. The person in this position would be involved in multiple aspects of projects from field work, submittals, drawing review, construction observation, etc.
Responsibilities
- Support Construction phase project managers with planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction projects.
- Track project timelines and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Assist with preparing reports, and project documents.
- Help manage RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and change orders.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Observe construction activities and provide input for improvements.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Take meeting minutes and update team members on progress.
- Assist in estimating project costs and preparing budgets.
- Track expenses and analyze variances.
- Learn and enforce safety protocols on-site.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections.
