Job Overview
Passion Dental is looking for a Full-time Credentialing Specialist to be responsible for the activities to manage and complete the review of all credentialing and re-credentialing applications. The Credentialing Specialist will obtain and maintain the credentials of new and existing providers, their Dental licenses, DEA certificates, etc
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Completes providers credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed.
- Responding to health plan provider inquiries
- Creates and maintain CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare Healthcare) accounts for OMS Providers
- May complete other duties to support the onboarding, credentialing, licensing, privileging enrollment and tracking functions for the department.
- Maintain current copies of dental license, DEA, controlled substances registration, malpractice insurances. If you notice you need something reach out to the doctor right away by phone or email, if they don’t respond, escalate by reaching out to an office manager/area manager.
- Scanning and Filing pertinent records into electronic drives and clinic/doctor files.
- Execute ownership changes (completing contracts, submitting to carriers until process are completed).
- Read and analyze various reports that contain provider status information.
- Reconcile monthly extracts from contracted insurance carriers to ensure accuracy of provider demographic information and credentialing status.
- Ensure that health-care providers update their certification or licensing on time, tracking all data on Excel.
- Ensures practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies and other entities.
- Conduct/attend all required department and company meetings and complete all mandatory education/training
Qualifications:
- Comfortable working with a remote team including but not limited to Doctors, Executive Team, Directors, Area Managers
- Ability to work with multiple data sources, follow directions for varied online and paper tools, excellent reading comprehension, research and use resources available
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional Attention to Detail
- Attentiveness with good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Time Management/ Organization Skills
- Proficient Knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement, discretion, and decision-making to achieve objectives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
