The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Market Development Representative to join our SMB team and build our marketplace of discounts & deals for our membership program. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years in sales and marketing and the ability to travel to destinations across the US to build out local deal networks. A strong background in transactional sales cycles, excelling in prospecting, cold calling, and closing deals with small business clients is a bonus. This role requires a proactive approach, with a focus on generating new business opportunities and delivering results.
Responsibilities
- Travel : 50% or more travel to vacation destinations to build local business relationships and advertisers
- Prospecting & Canvassing : Engage local businesses to sign up for Premier and Standard Partner Programs.
- Social Media : Filming video and making social media content as you travel
- Outreach Tactics : Utilizing outbound sales techniques such as phone, email and social media prospecting, as well as in-person, door to door canvassing
- Territory Management : Drive penetration of targeted business types and maximize deal volume.
- Networking : Leverage referrals and networking groups to expand connections and opportunities.
- Handoff Coordination : Ensure smooth transitions to Partner Success Managers.
- CRM Management : Maintain accurate and detailed records, opportunities, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
