Job Description

Training and Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and strategic Training and Development Manager to lead our organizational training and development initiatives across departments, with a primary focus on enhancing the training framework for our nursing team. In this role, you will drive the effectiveness of training programs, working closely with our clinical teams to ensure the highest levels of performance and engagement. You will also support training efforts in other departments, such as our call center, aligning programs with business needs and fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Skills and Development Analysis: Regularly assess training requirements across departments, with a primary focus on our clinical business.
  • Use data-driven insights to adapt training programs to meet evolving business goals and operational needs.
  • Training Program Design & Implementation: Develop and execute comprehensive training and development plans that enhance the skills of our clinical staff and support cross-functional team growth.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with department leaders in nursing, customer service, and other key areas to create impactful training programs and development pathways that support onboarding, skill enhancement, and continuous learning.
  • Innovative Training Methods: Utilize diverse training methodologies, including online modules, hands-on workshops, and group sessions, to deliver an engaging and effective learning experience for all staff.
  • Program Management: Oversee training processes, particularly for new nurses and ensuring consistent program quality / making continuous improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Training Effectiveness Evaluation: Establish and analyze KPIs, feedback, and ROI metrics to gauge the success of training programs, iterating as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently allocate the training budget and manage resources to maximize the impact and reach of training initiatives across departments.
  • Continuous Development Opportunities: Coordinate quarterly training sessions for existing staff, especially in nursing, to keep team members up-to-date on the latest tools, procedures, and best practices.
  • Digital Training Resources: Maintain a comprehensive digital library of training materials accessible through tools like Google Classroom to ensure easy access to resources.
  • Post-Training Follow-Up: Conduct post-training surveys and gather employee feedback to improve training programs continually.
  • Industry Best Practices: Research and apply industry best practices to create and share insights, ensuring alignment with high training standards across the organization.
  • Content Development: Develop instructional materials, including videos, for new technologies and services, and provide input to teams during the development of new tools.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the workflow, schedules, and performance of team members in the training department.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and coaching to support professional growth.
  • Lead and motivate your team to align their efforts with company objectives and foster an inclusive, positive team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Training, Learning and Development, or related field; equivalent experience in a corporate training environment may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development, with demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution of training initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess business needs and translate them into effective, goal-oriented training programs.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for engaging and building relationships with diverse groups, including clinical staff, CSRs, and cross-departmental teams.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities with the capacity to inspire, coach, and guide teams toward achieving common goals.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with G-Suite, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), and other relevant software platforms.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the tools, services, and operations essential to our organization’s success.
