OVERVIEW
The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining clear, concise, and user-focused documentation for Passport Technology's software, hardware, and systems. This role ensures customers, employees, and stakeholders have access to accurate and helpful resources, such as user manuals, API guides, troubleshooting instructions, and training materials. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Technical Writer bridges the gap between technical complexity and user understanding, contributing to the overall success of Passport Technology's innovative products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including user manuals, API references, installation guides, and internal knowledge bases for Passport Technology's products.
- Collaborate with engineering, product development, and quality assurance teams to gather and verify technical information.
- Research and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for various audiences.
- Update documentation promptly to reflect software updates, new features, and product enhancements.
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all documentation.
- Create visual elements, such as diagrams, flowcharts, and screenshots, to enhance the readability and comprehension of technical documents.
- Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback to improve the effectiveness of documentation.
- Assist in the development of internal training materials and onboarding documentation for employees.
