OVERVIEW
As the Vice President of Development, you will guide our development teams to ensure the seamless delivery of innovative products. This pivotal role requires collaboration across Product Management, IT, DevOps, and Executive Leadership to align product vision with business objectives. You have a deep understanding of gaming technologies, compliance regulations, and industry trends.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General Duties:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of product and feature development, including design, implementation, testing, and automation.
- Develop and execute the software Development Strategy aligned with Company s roadmap.
- Lead architectural decisions to shape the future of innovative software solutions for the Casino Industry.
- Maintain high-quality standards for internal and external releases, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and design innovative products and value-added services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders Product, Design, Operations, Marketing) to define software requirements and timelines.
- Drive the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and technology stack.
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and code reviews for teams working on the casino gaming solutions.
- Act as a trusted representative of the product team in external engagements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and exceptional quality of deliverables.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in domain processes, methodologies, and emerging technologies.
- Stay updated on the latest software development practices, casino gaming trends, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance (e.g., GLI, GSA, or relevant jurisdictional standards).
- Oversee integration of third-party systems and ensure seamless delivery to the user experience
- Ensure best practices in software security, and data privacy
- Oversee multiple software development projects from inception through release, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for software initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and executive leadership to communicate technical strategies, progress, and challenges.
- Ensure all software development complies with gaming regulations and certifications.
- Work with QA teams to implement automated and manual testing protocols for game functionality, security, and user experience.
- Review requirements and designs, providing strategic direction to the team.
- Ensure high availability with a focus on minimizing downtime and technical debt.
- Manage Passports Development Budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Optimize resource allocation to balance short term and long-term needs of the business.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence by mentoring and motivating team members.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within the casino gaming industry or a related field.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale software solutions, preferably in gaming, gambling, or interactive entertainment.
- Strong knowledge of Casino Management systems, player tracking and marketing
- Familiarity with gaming compliance and regulatory requirements
- Expertise in programming languages such as PHP and HTML5
- Experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Experience with casino management systems, player tracking, and loyalty systems.
- Knowledge of mobile and online gaming platforms.
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS
No specific certifications or licenses are required, but relevant certifications in innovation management are beneficial.
